On October 29, 2003, LeBron James made his debut in the National Basketball Association with the Cleveland Cavilers.
James came out strong for his first game, sporting the number 23 for Michael Jordan, as he scored 25 points. He finished his rookie season with an average of almost 21 points a game and a grand total of 1654 points. He played in 79 games and started in every single one of them. The future hall of famer has had a controversial past when it comes to dealing with teams and leading the public on when he did not know where he was going after leaving the Cavilers. His numbers put some of the credit back to him but he will never be M.J.
Here is the highlight video from his first game.
Tonight LeBron will personally be welcoming Derrick Rose back to the game after recovering from an ankle injury for over a year. The two former ‘Rookie of the Year’ recipients will be facing off tonight in Miami to start off the 2013-14 basketball season. I just hope the players don’t make specials of themselves during the game between the rivals.
