On March 29, 1982, the North Carolina Tar Heels took a 63-62 victory over the Georgetown Hoyas after Michael Jordan scored on a jump shot with 15 seconds left in the NCAA championship game.

The Tar Heels kept a scoring advantage but could not completely shake the Hoyas off their tail. With 57 seconds on the play clock the Hoyas were forced to foul. With their possession of the ball the score became 62-61 in favor of the Hoyas and they maintained the lead until the final seconds of the game…………
